So I tried these for pressure canning and the middle kind of buckled up, so they didn't work for me. But they do work for water bathing. So as for that they are a good value for water bathing and haven't had a problem using them for that.Great product without the name brand.I’ve been thru an entire box of 72 with one sealing failure which was probably “user error”. Jams, pickles, tomatoes…no problem. Ordering again today!These worked when I used them to pressure can chicken in pints. Some of the lids puffed up coming out of the pressure canner, but sealed fine in the end. I had all of them seal and stay sealed for a few months now. I prefer getting Kerr or Ball, but these might be worth the try if you can't get those.None of the “name brand” lids were available so I tried these. They’re just fine. You just need to be patient and they will seal. They take a bit longer to pop than the thicker Ball or Kerr lids, but I’ve had no issue and I’m a canning lunatic.They arrived in just a few days after placing order which was a plus since I can year around. These lids are plain jane, smooth, no brand name on them, leaving more space for me to write in. The sealing compound seemed to be a bit a thin which concerned me a little but in light of the current shortage I was still willing to give them a try. I canned 18 jars of pinto beans and sausage and am happy to report that even though I missed hearing the "pop" sound I have come to know and love when button lids seal, all 18 jars sealed tightly within 15 minutes of coming out of the pressure canner (so there clearly is enough sealing compound on them). Based on the success of this canning session, I will order these lids again and recommend them to others. UPDATE: Three months later, all lids still tightly sealed and just placed my second order.I have been canning for more than 45 years and always only used Ball lids and jars. This year has been difficult with shortages and inflated costs. Desperate for lids, I turned to Amazon and found these lids. I gave them a try and was more than pleased! Mostly finished at this time, I can say that I only had one fail in sealing a jar and afterwards I found the jar had a very slight nick. So, after canning more than 125 jars of garden vegetables and only having one jar not sealing and not because of the lid, I recommend this lid and will use them myself again in the future!These are not Ball lids. They have the name Ceaver on them. I have used them and had no problem but was under the impression I was buying Ball brand lids.
